Launched in 1961 and styled by the renowned coachbuilder Giovanni Michelotti, the TR4 succeeds the TR3 and marks a major evolution for the Triumph roadster lineage.
With its more modern lines, increased interior space and improved comfort, it manages to combine British elegance with accessible sportiness. Its immediately recognisable style and playful character made it one of the most appreciated models in the "TR" range.
The engine runs correctly, the ignition system has been recently replaced and the tuning is satisfactory.
The gearbox engages and locks its ratios correctly, whilst the clutch performs its role effectively, showing no signs of wear.
The running gear offers sound handling, the steering is precise and the suspensions perform their function perfectly.
