Description
In red with a grey interior.
Vegantune in Lincolnshire were long time restorers and upgrade specialists of Lotus Elans and in 1987 started manufacturing their own sports car, based on the Elan.
It featured their well proven Vegantune 1700 twin cam engine and the bodywork was constructed using carbon fibre and kevlar. A natural descendant of the original Lotus Elan, the Evante was well received and continues to have an enthusiastic following.
This car, E62 PEW, was built for a doctor in 1988 and is well known within Evante circles. It has been very well maintained and cared for - a large history file accompanies the car which includes original brochures and literature. It has covered 44, 000 miles.
It features a rebuilt and blueprinted twin cam engine built by Rob Morley of Protune, twin Dellorto carburettors, balanced Kent cams, a gas flowed cylinder head converted for unleaded petrol and Aldon electronic ignition. Leda adjustable dampers are fitted all round and an Omex rev limiter is in place to protect the engine.
The interior is finished in grey leather with grey carpets there is full weather gear in grey.
An interesting and exciting sportscar.
