This car is totally original unrestored example except for the stereo & amp have been removed but i have sourced these to put it back to factory spec. This is a very rare XR3i model.
Its 1st owners took it off the road in 1992 & kept it in a heated garage off the road but still had it serviced at the dealership.
Changed owners in 2003 & I purchased it in 2008

It still has the original roof but i do have another new white roof to go with this.

THE ‘ALL- WHITE’ .
‘All- White’ MK4 Escort cabriolet, 1988:

Most cabriolet enthusiasts know about the Mk3 ‘all-white’ special that closely resembles and S1 turbo. However in 1988 Ford released a special all-white edition of the MK4 cabriolet.
Three hundred were produced, of which 150 were right hand drive and the remainder in left hand drive for the European market. This makes it the most rare of all the Mk3/ 4 limited runs.

This model came will every conceivable optional extra as standard. This included fuel computer, ABS, heated front screen, ECU2 radio and graphic equaliser.
Additional standard features included items not available on the options list such as RS bodykit, RS rear spoiler and RST wheels painted white. Even more uniquely it came with leather upholstery, an Escort first, in white of course!

No deviations of this car were available in the UK but Ford continued to sell this model to the German market in 1989/ 1990. The only difference being the white RST wheels were replaced with the usual silver ones.

Unlike other cabriolets, the dash and door trim panels were a beige colour instead of the usual grey.
The ‘all-white’ was a very pricey Ford, costing £14. 439, which is equivalent to approx £23K nowadays if you account for inflation.

Twenty years on, most of the 150 in the UK are either rotten, lost their unique features or gathering dust unused in someones garage. I know off only another 4 in the country
