This is my late father's much loved MGB roadster, in original condition at a genuine 60300 miles from new, with documented history to prove. This car comes with Walnut dash, Moto-Lita wood steering wheel, picnic rack, tonneau, MG alloy rocker cover, stainless exhaust and tow bar. Audio is a JVC cd player.
Dad drove this car to the MGOC Brighton rally, golf and my place for BBQs, all of which would be cancelled if it rained, the car was garaged the rest of the time. The car was bought in 1988 from the second owner, and shortly after dad purchaced the plate; MGB 25P which the car is now being sold with. During later years dad registered the car to me and back again, so we have 4 previous owners, 2 of which are the same person!
Mechanically the car is in excellent shape with no faults and a fresh MOT. The last service was last summer and 200miles ago. I've installed a new radiator header tank, thermostat and electric fan thermocouple switch. Both SU carb float chamber jets have also just been replaced.
Body work is very good, with solid undersides, however there is some rust to the NS front wing, along the trim line and passenger door & lower rear arch. the boot lid is pitted around the latch from 'bunch of keys damage' and has been aerosoled to middling effect. I have photos to document all areas. Internal trim is undamaged, with the window winders changed for faux 'moto lita' ones. The hood is ok except for a 3-4" tear along the OS quarter window seam. Tonneau is good.
Basically you have an honest genuine mileage car that will be reliable and presentable with some minor body work for the winter.
