RESTORED and Very Rare only 1050 (UK) ever made - This is car number 899 of 1050
This is a fully restored 1990 'H' reg RSP Mini Cooper (Rover Special production)
In short, the car is in first class condition following a full restoration by our local mini specialist. It has covered probably 50 miles since the restoration.
It was bought by me in 2010, as a well maintained runner and used by my son before he left for university. It had been well maintained, but suffered from the usual wear and tear and various welding jobs to keep roadworthy . It was a good purchase and fitted the purpose.
When my son left I decided to have the car restored, it was too special to move on. Sleaford mini center had the car for over 9 months and replaced 99 percent of the body work with authentic panels. Only the rear seat panel with no rust remained in place. The bodyshell was seam sealed , primed , stone protected and repainted . The bodywork and paintwork is better than when it left the factory.
Mechanically, every part was either replaced or refurbished and built back into the car, the car is in excellent mechanical condition. Everything mechanical shines and works perfectly.
The car was completed and ready to drive in Jan 2014. I have kept it garaged and used the car for the odd weekend trip . The underside is as clean as the paintwork .
It's a super car to drive , it's a great investment and I'm only selling to use the proceeds for another project.
