For Sale is my Monster Rides Rekon Gear Toyota Hilux Extra Cab Monster Truck 2. 4 Diesel Manual
I have owned this Hilux for 6 years now and thats the longest I have ever owned a vehicle. Its the fourth Hilux I have owned and it is the best one. I fancy a change now so it is for sale. The Hilux was bought by myself from A Toyota dealership in Stockton and I am the second owner. The dealership was the first owner and used it as a demonstrator. The Hilux had 3, 000 miles on it when I bought it and is coming upto 27, 000 miles now. Straight away I fitted seat covers and snow mats to keep everything like new. It has just been fitted with some Military snow camo looking seat covers front and back. All of the modifications have been done by myself to a very good standard.
The Monster Rides Rekon make is Australian and is of the very best quality. All of the gear was imported by myself at a cost of £5000. Below is a list of the items fitted.
MR Rekon front coilovers with screw adjustable coil seat, adjustable from 2"- 6" lift.
MR long travel rear shocks.
MR Sway bar relocators.
MR Progressive bump stops.
MR Upper control arms with fully enclosed uniball.
MR Diff relocation brackets (x3).
MR Bash plates (x2).
MR Extra Large fender flares (50mm wider than standard).
MR Shackles + U-bolts.
Sax 3 stage rear leaves (raises the rear 2. 5").
The Hilux has also been fitted with an ARB front winch bar at a cost of £1332, Safari snorkel £358, Stainless Steel 4 inch roll bar £515, Hi-lift jack £152, are just a few of the pricely mod's.
If you look at the photo's you will notice the roll bar insert has been custom made for me but I have the original or I can put you in touch with the person who manufactured mine (£50). In the rear bed is a spare wheel and tire which are both brand new and have never been fitted to the vehicle. All four tires have loads of tread left (approx. 15mm) and are fitted with Discovery Cooper STT 305/ 70/ 16 tires on a Hydra alloy wheels.
Also the rear bumper/ tow bar has been fitted with a Military tow pintle for my Military Rapier Missile Re-Supply trailer which is also for sale at an extra cost (£1500). I have the original tow bracket which fits onto the bumper with a new unused tow ball.
The Hilux is advertised on the Hilux Pick Up owners club web site (HPOC) and there is a complete build thread with loads of pictures throughout the build process.
The reason for the trailer is so I don't 'mess up' my pick up. It has never been used as a 'builders' truck and has never been off road. If anything was going to be moved I have used my trailer.
The Hilux is in great condition and if you are seriously interested you can come and view it.
The Hilux has a private registration fitted which will be removed when a sale has been agreed (might take upto 3 weeks to get log book back from the DVLA).
MAY take a cheap part exchange.
