Here we have a Riley 12/ 4 1500cc engine for sale, I bought this engine in view of fitting and up rating my Riley nine.
However, I've decided to keep the original nine engine with the car, which has now been fully rebuilt.
Hence the reason for the sale of my 12/ 4 engine.
As you can see in the photos, the engine is in need of a full rebuild, I have the block, cylinder head timing case, a nice pair of Sprite cams, crank, sump etc.
I also have an RMA engine stripped of all it's parts, as my intention was to use the rods, pistons, valves etc to build the 12/ 4 engine.
I also have the RM crank, which I have been told can make for a good upgrade for the 1930/ s 12/ 4 engine.
With this a pre- selctor gearbox with the correct bell housing to fit the 12/ 4 engine.
I have also have a spare Riley nine chassis with axles wheels and steering column which may be useful if you are interested in a project car. This does not have a log book but does have a very clear original chassis number.
