We are delighted to present for sale, a previously rebuilt Series 3 onto a new galvanised chassis, in popular soft top configuration.
On the outside, the vehicle sits on brand new 750 Chevron Tyres mated to steel modular wheels, which are directional and self cleaning, giving a taller stance and higher gearing ratios. Coupled with the fitted overdrive, this produces a far improved driving experience. There is a recent canvas fitted, along with a towball and electrics, the correct rear grab handles and rear mudflaps. Defender style door mirrors are fitted to give better visibility, and free wheeling hubs limit front axle wear whilst increasing fuel economy. There is also a thermostatically controlled Kenlowe fan which aids cooling, improves fuel economy, and increases performance due to reduced resistance in turning a fixed fan. It also means that the vehicle warms up more quickly in cooler weather - a welcomed upgrade for a soft-top Land Rover®!
On the inside, the vehicle benefits from deluxe carpeting to the front and transmission tunnel and is completed with deluxe rubber matting. A recent set of standard seats have been fitted to complete the look. The rear is currently unfitted but could house bench seats to allow for 7 occupants including the driver should that be necessary. Please see the accessories page in the website for such upgrades.
Out on the road is where this old girl really shines - brand new brakes are fitted all around (with lines, flexis and cylinders), and the larger rubber coupled with the overdrive make this vehicle more capable in modern traffic over standard. Just about every conceivable extra has been fitted to maximise power and minimising fuel consumption - the marriage of overdrive, larger tyres, Weber carb, kenlowe fan and free wheeling hubs promise to give the best possible consumption and performance from this engine.
