Let me start by saying that I love this car... and hadn't really ever intended to sell it. My collection of Citroens has expanded even more recently and my wife has simply had enough!
I have owned this C8 since 2009 and it has done our family proud. I bought it from its first owner although it was originally registered to Citroen UK (only for one month) so the V5C shows 2 previous owners.
This is a full-loaded C8 2. 2 Exclusive. The only thing this car doesn’t have is SatNav – I use my phone for that anyway. It has automatic lights/ wipers, heated seats, electric everything, parking sensors, xenon lights, remote controlled sliding doors… the list goes on. It also has a 5-Star Euro NCAP safety rating.
For a family, this is simply one of the best cars around. It has 7 adult-sized seats (5 of which can be removed entirely as shown) and genuinely can carry 7 people in comfort. I have done many European tour holidays with my family (3 kids) and I take out two of the seats and the kids sit arms-length away from each other! Happy family!
I have installed a handsfree kit for iPhone which can be adapted for any device which allows for Bluetooth calls, Bluetooth audio streaming as well as wired calls/ music and device charging etc. It is an XCARLink unit with Brodit holders, connected to the standard factory headunit (so you can control your phone from the steering controls!).
Mechanically, this C8 has been looked after very well. It has had everything done that was needed at any point... recently it has had:
Clutch and dual mass flywheel (£800), Brakes and discs (£350), New Alternator (£400), ELOYS additive refilled (£130) and the Particulate filter cleaned, Anti-pollution valve and Cambelt replaced (can’t remember but it was lots!) - as well as a host of other bits and bobs like bushes etc. I have all of the bills and service history which I will put together and hand over.
There are no errors displaying on the dash (and I have a diagnostic tool if any buyer wants to check the system) and it is super-reliable. One minor issue is that the Passenger airbag deactivates occasionally. Citroen themselves can't figure out why. It has done it for years... but when the car is warm, and the ignition restarted, the error clears. There is also no error on the diagnostic that Citroen could find.
Cosmetically, there are few scratches and scrapes – nothing that would cause any corrosion (plastic bumpers etc) – which could be expected for a car of this age and continued use. I can also send close up photos of the scratches. The passenger seat does have a tear in the alcantara/ suede seat cover which has not been repaired, however a full set of new seat covers are available on ebay for c.£300.
Tyres are all good as well – and I’ve recently had it MoT’d, so any potential buyer would be good until January 2019.
I can also supply the spare ELOYS additive which I have.
The car comes with two keys (one in perfect condition as I have never used it) and all relevant paperwork.
