MECHANICS AND UNDERBELTS The 4-cylinder engine with a displacement of 1800 cm3 develops satisfactory power for this small convertible. The stainless-steel exhaust system is in perfect condition and produces a beautiful sound, as does the Zenith carburettor, which was recently overhauled. The 4-speed gearbox is very pleasant to handle thanks to its precision, which was restored when the previous owner bought the car, and it benefits from a functional overdrive. The last service was carried out in 2022 at 43, 617 miles by the previous owner with an oil and filter change (a complete service will be carried out for the sale). Please note that the vehicle is equipped with two auxiliary fans. American, Dutch and French histories are known, please contact us to view them. The Michelin Energy tyres are in very good condition, as are the braking system, front discs and brake pads are up to date. EXTERIOR AND INTERIOR The elegant black paintwork is in very good condition with a beautiful shine. The chromed front and rear bumpers, which replaced the plastic ones fitted to this vintage MG B, are in perfect condition, as are the other chromes and the spoked wheels. The soft top and tonneau cover are also very well preserved. There are no major defects in the underpinnings or wheel arches, and photos of the underpinnings and paint thicknesses are available on request. The interior is far more spacious and comfortable than its predecessor, the MG A. Dressed in new black imitation leather, the seats are very comfortable. The Motolita steering wheel, in wood and aluminium, is in perfect condition and offers a good grip. All the instrumentation is in good condition and functional. The vinyl soft top is very easy to use. VEHICLE HISTORY Introduced at the dawn of the sixties, the MG B was a lightweight sports roadster with very modern equipment for its time: monocoque structure, rack-and-pinion steering, disc brakes and much more. With its charming design, easy maintenance and reliable mechanics, it is the perfect vehicle to enter the world of collector cars. Our end-of-series Limited Edition was produced in 6, 682 examples worldwide in 1979 and 1980, all in black. The car is sold with an up-to-date service and warranty.
