Introduced in 1962, the MG B was restyled throughout its career. Our example dates from early 1981, at the very end of production. Originally from England, it is driven on the right-hand side of the road, in keeping with its origins. The odometer shows 31, 290 miles, or just over 50, 000 km, a particularly low mileage. Its owner, who acquired it in 2013, has taken great care of it, driving it from time to time to keep this beautiful machine in shape. Let's talk about the mechanics. Under the bonnet is a 1, 800 cm³ engine developing 95 horsepower, all of which is present and working like a charm. The original Austin in-line 4-cylinder is fed by two SU carburettors. For worry-free cruising, the clutch has just been changed, as have the transmitter and receiver. This model is also equipped with overdrive. Bodywork. The superb yellow hue of this MG is in good condition, although the most meticulous may spot a few small flaws. Its elegant silhouette perfectly embodies the spirit of the British cabriolet. And if you're not a fan of driving with your hair blowing in the wind, don't worry: the hard top is sold with the car. The car's curves are enhanced by magnificent Minilite aluminium wheels, which suit it to a tee. Rust: a common problem with models from the UK. The chassis of our beauty has been treated and shows no trace of corrosion. The interior has also been well looked after: the seats are in good condition, the brown carpet was replaced in 2014, and the dashboard was covered with an elegant wood veneer. The car is in remarkable condition. However, for the more demanding in terms of driving comfort, the shock absorbers could do with an overhaul, but this in no way detracts from the quality of the drive. Please also note that the car is registered as a collector's car. Ma Youngtimer is responsible for placing the advert, as we do not own the vehicle. Please do not hesitate to ask us for the owner's contact details. Sincerely, Calvin Fatin.
