This unit features many improvements in its history, such as a 4. 2 engine block with larger carburettors, front and rear disc brakes, and another series of accessories that make this unit a totally reliable car ready to cover as many miles as possible. Its 'Le Mans' style windscreen also enhances its look towards a sportier aspect. All its major work has been carried out at Auto Storica since the beginning, around 2004, so its history is fully demonstrable and recognised. A perfect unit for rally racing and/ or frequent use with the total safety of a powerful and reliable car.
About the car: The Jaguar XK 120 was unveiled at the British International Motor Show at Earls Court Exhibition Centre on 27 October 1948, as part of a successful marketing campaign, guaranteeing in its advertisements that it would reach speeds of 120 mph. The success it caused left the factory on the brink of failure when Jaguar realised that there was no way of meeting the more than three hundred units ordered following the introduction.
