Motors Corner is pleased to present for sale this 1963 Ferrari 250 GT Lusso:
This magnificent 1963 Ferrari 250 GT Lusso coupé was produced in 1963, the 30th example to come off the Maranello production lines; it is chassis 4417, engine 4417, and it is a matching-numbers car for chassis, engine and rear axle.
The Lusso, the luxury version of the 250 GT, was, as tradition dictates, designed by Pininfarina and bodied by Scaglietti.
Only 351 examples were produced at the Maranello factory.
The car is currently red with black interior, but it left the factory in a very desirable body colour of gold with a black interior.
It has spent its entire life in Italy, under the care of a prominent Ferrari collector for 55 years,
It won a elegance concours in Italy in 2018
Regarding the mechanicals:
The V12 fires up at the first turn, the three Weber carburettors are perfectly tuned. The idle is stable and the engine revs well.
The drive is pleasant, no wheeze or rumble to report, gears shift very well, maintenance is up to date.
The technical inspection is up to date and reveals nothing abnormal about the car.
Regarding the exterior:
The bodywork is in good condition; the paint, about twenty years old, shows a few flaws, the chromes are in very good condition,
The Borrani Ruote wheels are generally in good condition but show signs of wear on the rims. The spare wheel is present in the boot.
Regarding the interior:
The original interior is relatively well preserved, the upholstery is in good condition, slightly patinated, the carpets are well preserved, the dashboard shows no signs of wear. The door panels are in good condition.
The Nardi wooden and aluminium steering wheel is in very good condition.
