1948 - Jaguar MkIV 3. 5 Saloon Chassis n° B8269 Spanish registration document Vehicle sold without technical inspection Notice: "Autostorica signed restoration". Like the majority of post-war British manufacturers, Jaguar Cars, formerly SS Cars, launched production with models inherited from the pre-war era. The Mark IV 3 ½-Liter uses a separate chassis with rigid axles, semi-elliptical suspension and Girling mechanical brakes, and offers elegant steel bodywork as a sedan or coupé convertible with a luxurious interior. Equipped with the sturdy Standard seven-step in-line 6-cylinder, Weslake cylinder head and four-speed manual gearbox, the Mark IV 3 ½-Liter could reach speeds of over 145 km/ h. Its reliable, high-performance engine already made it a benchmark among sports sedans of the time. This example is one of the few original left-hand drive models. Expensively restored, its bodywork features an elegant burgundy and black color scheme, enhanced by a red leather interior with matching carpets. Relatively little used by its owners for some time now, our example nevertheless starts at the first solicitation and will satisfy any demanding enthusiast. Certainly one of the finest examples currently on the market.
