Very nice example of a Porsche 356 C in the cabriolet variant. Final evolution of the 356, which replaced the 356B from 1963. A few cooling improvements were implemented to optimise reliability. They were produced until May 1966.
In an unusual and rare colour: Bali Blue, which pairs beautifully with the beige interior.
This example belonged to a very prominent American collector who acquired it in the 1970s. A Porsche enthusiast who owned other 356s and who supervised the restoration a few years ago.
The current owner acquired it post-restoration, notably for its Bali Blue colour.
The car entered France in 2024.
The coachwork presents well. Alignments are of good quality.
On the ramp, we could verify the absence of corrosion.
Some elements, such as the floorpan, were refurbished during restoration.
It is fitted with 4 Vredestein Classic 15" tyres and the wheel trims are in good condition.
In terms of upholstery, everything has been very well preserved since restoration.
It features beige faux leather seats, with the bases re-done. The door panels look good and the dark blue dashboard makes an impact.
The instrumentation is functional.
Mechanically, it was recently checked and serviced by a marque specialist, including:
- complete clutch replacement
- replacement of brake hoses and front/ rear callipers
- carburation rebuilt
The last oil change was carried out in April 2025.
The Type 616/ 15 engine is fed by two WEBER 40 carburettors.
A full professional appraisal has just been completed, confirming the engine block’s good sealing, solid starting and smooth operation with no abnormal vibration or noise.
It is fitted with the original 741/ 2C 4-speed gearbox.
A very pleasant car to drive thanks to its 75 hp, with ample torque and a user-friendly feel.
The new soft top cover as well as various body accessories are supplied with the car.
A car notable for its uncommon colour and for being meticulously cared for by previous owners.
An easy Cabriolet for regular trips and outings. This final version of the 356 offers great versatility compared with earlier models.
