Description
Among the Japanese sports models, there is without any contest the Skyline GTR produced by Nissan, which aims to be the flagship but also very sporty. Produced from the 1950s, the model is now in its 12th (!) generation and each time it brings joy to purists.
The model we are dealing with here is the R32, already the 8th generation … Produced from 1989 to 1994, it was made in 2- and 4-door variants. Obviously the 2-door versions are more sought after nowadays. The R32 is a four-wheel drive with a 2. 6L twin-turbo six-cylinder engine developing 280bhp. In such a light car, the pleasure is total!
More still, the one we have for sale is one of the very rare N1s, a true, authentic (registered 214667), limited to 118 units. All are white, right-hand drive. It was created for homologation N1 racing in Japan. This N1 was made to provide an ideal base for Japanese competition. It is meant to be lightened, with no ABS, no air conditioning or radio, no rear wiper or boot mat. The engine is also reinforced, in short, a better power-to-weight ratio … almost a race car, but road-legal!
Of the 29 races that the category championship comprised, it won all 29 races!
NYC's is listing this very handsome example of the Nissan Skyline R32 GTR N1 in white, with grey and dark blue fabric interior, currently showing 129, 500 km.
Delivered new in Japan in November 1991, it became English in the 2010s before arriving in Belgium in September 2018, where it totalled 126, 529 km at that time. It remained in a major car collection, pampered by its owner who did 3, 000 km in total.
The bodywork presents very well but is not perfect. Noting a paint defect on the front face (small delamination) and on the rear wing, but nothing major (very light details): no dents, no scratches.
The interior is very good, with very slight wear due to age and mileage. This concerns the leather of the gear knob and handbrake, the steering wheel, and the floor mats. Otherwise, whether seats, dashboard, door interiors, headlining, everything is in very good condition.
Regarding the mechanicals, we have good maintenance history: the Japanese book and invoices from when it was English. Since it has been Belgian, we have no invoices, but this is explained by the fact that its current owner has such a collection that he has his own mechanic to manage all the cars. In other words, everything has been done and is up to date to run without issue. We can confirm that it starts and runs superbly. An incredible car, an impressive sound, really a hell of a car …
We also have many reports on this model, supplied with the car of course.
A ramp is available in our facilities to show you the underside of the vehicle.
Vehicle viewable by appointment at our Tournai (Belgium) establishment.
