The Mercedes-Benz 280 SE Cabriolet is regarded as one of the most elegant and appreciated luxury convertibles of the 60s and 70s. This example was professionally restored in the past and today presents itself in a refined Green–Beige configuration, with a tidy interior and a hood in good condition. The W111 Cabriolet is known for its build quality, timeless styling and driving comfort.
Moreover, this example belongs to the rare Flachkühler version.
This variant is distinguished by a lower and flatter grille and radiator panel, unlike the earlier Hochkühler models, giving it a sleeker, more elegant profile. The Flachkühler was produced for a relatively short period and is therefore significantly rarer and highly sought after by connoisseurs.
Interesting: in this configuration, just over 1, 000 examples were produced, which reinforces its appeal to collectors.
Depending on configuration, the W111 could receive an automatic transmission, a 4-speed manual, and a gear lever on the steering wheel or on the floor, depending on the year and specifications.
