Description
MORRIS MINI COOPER S MK2
Sirocco Green
First registration 1968
4‑cylinder 1293 cc engine, freshly rebuilt, fed by a single Weber carburettor
Large‑valve cylinder head with port work, high‑lift camshaft rail, the camshaft is an old profile, it’s a Kent 286. As for the rotating assembly the crankshaft is original, cut down and treated, with a Fast Road flywheel, all balanced.
The gearbox is a Quaife with dog gears and a fairly stiff differential but not too harsh so it isn’t a nightmare on the road; the diff ratio is 3. 88.
The cooling and oil circuits are home‑modified to improve cooling and lubrication.
