The BMW 3. 0 CS, better known as the BMW E9, is an elegant and sporty coupé produced between 1968 and 1975. Its design is by Wilhelm Hofmeister, and its bodyshell is the work of Karmann. At launch, it was equipped with a 2800 CS engine, replaced in 1971 by a powerful 3. 0 CS engine delivering 180 hp. This change enabled an elegant and luxurious coupé with enough power for sporting performance.
This magnificent BMW 3. 0 CS was delivered new in Germany in 1972, then registered in the Netherlands in 1989. Unfortunately, its history remains poorly documented, but a very comprehensive photo report testifies to the meticulous and professional restoration of this unique model. The car was fully restored by experts a few years ago, and the engine block as well as the gearbox have also been overhauled. The interior was also completely refurbished and clad in elegant brown leather. This shade pairs beautifully with the original Chamonix White BMW. Its white bodywork, with deep shine, is in perfect condition. The chrome and trim are also bright, like new. The same goes for the seals and rubber finishes. The wheels have recently been replaced by gorgeous BBS sport alloy wheels, which suit the car perfectly. The body panels are perfectly aligned and the doors close securely.
The brown leather interior is not only in immaculate condition, but also in perfect condition. During its expert restoration, the cabin was completely renovated, with the replacement of veneers, chromes and trim. The dashboard is magnificent and in perfect condition, and the instruments work perfectly. The carpeting and headlining were replaced. The Nardi wooden steering wheel is not only stunning but also perfectly matches the brown leather interior. The seats are in impeccable condition and offer exceptional comfort.
Under the hood, the engine bay is very well maintained and remarkably clean. It is evident that this BMW 3. 0 CS has been pampered. Its 2, 986 cc six-cylinder engine delivers enough power for smooth and sporty driving. This superb BMW, in immaculate condition, offers outstanding driving dynamics and gear shifts, and the steering is very pleasant and precise. The braking is firm and effective. Even the underside of the car is in impressive condition and perfectly maintained.
