BMW 3. 0 CSL - Genuine matching numbers car. One of 500 RHD cars produced by BMW. The total production for the CSL in both Right and Left hand drive was only 1265 and was a 'Homologation special' built using lightweight steel, aluminium panels and minimal sound deadening. The UK cars were a little more refined (by order of the importer) with electric windows and some sound deadening.
Owned and restored by John Castle some 30 years ago. John is a former Chairman of the BMW E9 Register and this car was very well known within the BMW E9 Register and attended many shows during his ownership. He has loved and cared for the car over these enjoyable years of ownership.
Finished in Chamonix White with the black interior, featuring the genuine Scheel seats and genuine carpets. The interior is in good overall condition.
The exterior is well finished in it's Chamonix white and has the BMW CSL livery that sets the car off. This car has the benefit of the front air dam that was an option from BMW.
Mechanically the car has been well maintained, the engine was rebuilt some time ago and covered about 15000 miles since. The car comes with a comprehensive history file.
The car is currently going through the workshop, so will come fully serviced and ready to be enjoyed to the full.
This car is priced as a very genuine example, not a concours car, but one that can be used for family holidays, trips, shows and so much more. (Mind you I have seen 'concours' cars that are no better than this car)
