Excellent example of the 1989 Ford 1. 6L RS TURBO sports coupé—light and powerful, the most “pointed” of the GTi generation…! Despite that, it’s a practical and comfortable 5-seater, with two Recaro bucket seats up front. This 2nd series, also known as the MK4, benefited from technical improvements over the previous model.
First registered on 20/ 06/ 1989, it has covered 94, 732 km. The timing belt was changed at 94, 646 km in April 2024 during a full service. The car is in very good overall condition, with no work needed. The fabric interior is in very good condition, and the headlining is immaculate. With no mechanical modifications—the engine is fully original.
Added items include: a battery cut-off switch, a second starting system on the dashboard (or a push-button on the centre console), a turbo boost pressure gauge to the left of the steering wheel, and the same lacquered wooden steering wheel. Since 2012, this RS TURBO has been owned by a respected, sports-car specialist mechanic. 5 alloy wheels / tyres in excellent condition / 4 extra original dampers / CD player / compression readings OK. The Ford was originally sold new in Spain, where it still resides.
