Description
Hello everyone,
I was born on 17/ 10/ 1972 and was recently christened ‘Madeleine’ in honour of my one and only owner. So, as you’ll have gathered, I’m a first-hand vehicle, as evidenced by my identity card – er… Vehicle registration certificate! Incidentally, the barn where I’ve been sitting motionless for around thirty years is at the address on my vehicle registration certificate,
I am a Ford ****** Mark 1 two-door, powered by a 1100 cm³ engine (99, 721 km) in the L trim. Incidentally, very few of my left-hand-drive models were ever produced,
As for my exterior, there are dents and bumps all over the place. Towards the end, my owner drove me ‘by sound rather than sight!’ Rear parking sensors ahead of their time, but with damage,
As for rust, apart from a small section of my rear wings showing early signs of perforating corrosion and a small spot at the bottom of my rear window, the rest is free from perforating rust, including my underbody,
After thirty years sheltered from the light, my paintwork might have been preserved; unfortunately, pigeon droppings had other ideas. It’s been cleaned since, but it’s left its mark,
My interior’s in decent shape despite my 54 years; the driver’s seat is cracked, but the rest is clean,
Mechanically, it’s in good shape after thirty years; apart from a few leaks and some of my rubber parts drying out, it’s held up well, though not without some wear and tear – the brakes, cooling system and fuel system all need attention, and the tyres need a complete overhaul,
As for the engine, well, it starts up and runs rather well! Oil pressure’s fine!
But still, it’ll need a proper service,
My current owner, who is none other than the granddaughter of my original owner, has asked a friend to sell the car on my behalf, with the proceeds going to the Baradoka charity, which runs the ‘Mamanotte’ orphanage on Sainte Marie Island in Madagascar.
As well as making my future owner happy, I’ll be doing a favour for a brilliant and genuine charity. Depending on the situation, a Cerfa form can be issued,
My first wish would be to be restored to my original condition, but I wouldn’t mind being part of rebuilding a more powerful sister car for classic car rallies. In any case, I’ll be sold as a complete car with a registration certificate, not for parts – it would be a shame to end up that way,
My price of 7, 500 euros is open to negotiation in person,
For any further questions or enquiries, please contact the person currently looking after me via message,
Kind regards,
Madeleine
