Aston Martin V8 Volante MK2 Series 2 EFI ‘One of One’
Motors Corner is delighted to present this Series 2 Aston Martin V8 Volante with fuel injection, built in October 1988 and supplied new in the Netherlands by the marque's importer.
Its rarity is well documented: 214 Series 2 cars were produced from 1986 to 1989, of which only 24 were European left-hand-drive examples with automatic gearbox. This car is the only one delivered in Suffolk Red with Connolly Magnolia leather piped in Burgundy and an Off White hood, a combination confirmed by its Vehicle Heritage Certificate and its One of One certificate.
It has covered just 38, 300 km and has no accident history according to the Carfax report. Servicing has always been carried out at the original importer, with invoices on file since 2003, in excess of €55, 000.
Mechanicals:
5. 3-litre fuel-injected V8 producing 305 bhp, mated to a three-speed automatic gearbox, refreshed in 2024 for noticeably crisper shifts with a TF2 kit. In 2022 the car received a service at the importer, along with conversion to Prince of Wales specification: uprated anti-roll bar, Koni dampers, shortened springs and lowered ride height, using Aston Engineering parts. Ronal 16-inch wheels and new Michelin Pilot Sport tyres fitted in 2023, with around 1, 000 km covered since.
Interior:
The Magnolia leather interior with Burgundy piping is in very fine condition, fully retrimmed by a professional in 2023. Superb burr walnut dashboard and door cappings, complete instrumentation. The cabin has received the Prince of Wales kit, with a Nardi wood-rim steering wheel, a specific centre console and a switch panel re-covered in matching leather.
Exterior:
The Suffolk Red paintwork is original. The front and rear valances have been repainted in satin black, as they were from new. The car is supplied with all its original removed parts, including its BBS wheels with whitewall tyres, its new original hood cover, its toolkit, its Aston Martin Works car cover and its factory-new spare wheel. Complete documentation is included: service book, original owner's, workshop and parts manuals, Car Record Card, Carfax report and all invoices.
