The Appeal
Whether it’s the Formula One associations, the enhanced factory specification or the limited production run, the F1 Performance version of the venerated R230 is one of the most desirable SLs ever built.
These cars, built to mark the R230’s use as a pace car in Formula One races, were far more than a commemorative model. The Performance Package provided improved cooling, revised, firmer suspension, a limited-slip differential and larger brakes. Inside the cabin received a higher specification and was notably trimmed in carbon fibre. The package cost £10,000 on top of the SL55 purchase price, pushing the total to over £100,000.
This car is beautifully presented in classic Iridium Silver over Charcoal Nappa leather. With under 58,000 miles from new, it is in very good order inside and out. We’re told the car comes with an extensive service history. The MOT runs to May 2026.
The F1 package makes the blisteringly quick SL55 even more desirable. This well-kept car would grace any driveway or collection.

has it had coil overs ? hopefully
cotswol••••
that's a problem as car has to be low loaded when it fails on ABC suspension, and its approaching that mileage.

Hi, have any of the advisories on the last MOT (tyre, brake pipe, brake discs) been addressed, please? I note that the vehicle is not taxed, so has it been of the road for some time? Thanks

Hi, what's the reg no please so I can check MOT history? Has it had any bodywork or rust repairs, as the colour of the sill covers is a poor match for the adjoining bodywork? Thanks.
Lowecla••••
SellerThey bodywork is OEM and has not been painted or damaged, it’s just the lighting on the camera / photo shoot. Inspection is welcome and videos can be sent
