The Appeal
The Azure was definitely not for everyone. At over £200,000 in 1999 (£400,000 now), it is perhaps a surprise to discover that even 243 people found the requisite funds to buy RHD versions of these cars over its seven year production run. Essentially a Continental R convertible and therefore equipped with that car’s brutal 385bhp 6.75L turbocharged V8, these hand-built, ultra-rarified models are the pinnacle of Bentley’s traditional car-building era.
As a 1999 car this beautiful burgundy metallic Azure benefits from the cosmetic tweaks applied from 1998, including revised grille, seats, wheels and bumpers. The paintwork is matched with a Parchment leather interior trimmed in walnut. It is an exceptionally low mileage car in great condition and it has been well maintained by main dealers and specialists. Recent servicing work at 34,240 miles by Hanwells totalled over £2,500. The current MOT runs to July 2026 with no advisories.
