Description
Lotus 7 Series 3 1969 left the Lotus factory in November 1969, one of the last Lotus 7 Series 3's built. Series 3 Lotus 7's is one of the rarest models as they were only made for about two years and I feel one of the nicest cars to drive due to the Ford running gear and easy to maintain.**** SOLD*** SOLD**
The car has been rebuilt by the previous owner but to a Lotus 7 Series 2 specification. As can be seen the car is quite complete and the chassis and running gear have all been restored so will need modification to Series 3 specification. One can off set the cost of the Series 3 parts with the sale of the Series 2 parts.
In my opinion the car should be restored fully to an original specification Series 3, i. e. 1600 cross flow or twin cam, Ford gearbox, Escort back axle, 5. 5"J steel wheels or Dunlop alloys etc. I have a lot of experience with Lotus 7's and will be more than happy to give help and advice in procuring spares. I have the original chassis plate and a Lotus certificate of Authenticity. Please note there is no V5 present, a V5 can be obtained once the car is restored and and an MOT acquired and with a Certificate from Lotus a V5 can be applied for. I have experience in this procedure and again would be happy to assist.
