We are delighted to present for sale this very smart Series 2a, in popular deep bronze green. On the outside, this vehicle has lots of nice period features such as vintage numberplates, rear grab handles, rear mudflaps, original galvanised cappings. wing mounted mirrors and bonnet mounted spare. There have been lots of pleasing modern additions such as the front towball, which is very handy for additional manoeuvrability - a rear towball with electrics is also fitted to allow towing at both ends! Free Wheeling Hubs have been fitted to increase fuel economy and limit front axle and front propshaft wear. A recent canvas has been fitted, and this complements the paint finish well - this is clearly a spray finish rather than the hand painted vehicles we see, and this makes it look great from every angle, not suffering closer inspection as some mottled hand finishes do.
The interior houses three front standard seats, with deluxe matting to the footwells. A front-seat belt bar has been fitted to allow for inertia 3 point belts - a rare but nice addition. There is a heater fitted with front demist to the windscreen which helps with cold winter mornings and prevents condensation. The rear is unfitted except for a rear load mat to the floor, and the tailgate is fitted with chains to allow easy access to the load area. This could be fitted with bench seats on request which would increase the capacity to seven occupants.
Out on the road, the oversized tyres and free wheeling hubs give the vehicle a refined but period driving experience, giving a little more relaxed cruising at speed with improved MPG. The lovely finish means that it really is a head turner wherever it goes!
