MK2 Ford Cortina, 1968 XJJ 726G (photos attached)
Engine spec - 1600 GT Xflow, it's been rebored, new pistons, rings and hardened valves. Twin 40's, lightweight flywheel, electric fuel pump, dynamo replaced with an alternator, bespoke silicone hoses, bespoke rocker cover, wiring looms hidden from engine bay, sports exhaust. Brake lines, drive shaft, rear axel were all refurbished and repainted - the brake lines are orange to continue our colour way all over the car.
Transmission - standard 4 speed, original bullet 200E gearbox refurbished,
Suspension - lowered at the rear with 3 inch blocks with Spax shocks, at the front 2 inch lowered springs, new bushes all round.
Brakes - high spec four port calipers and discs, added brake servo.
Wheels & tyres (inc. sizes) - 15" Rota wheels in satin black with branded Skull & Pistons wheel centre caps and Yokohama tyres,
Interior - original seats, steering wheel recovered and refurbished, bespoke headlining with A, B, C pillars, new carpet throughout, dashboard stripped, glove box welded up and painted body colour with original dials used but reconfigured and extra buttons added for reverse lamp and boot popper. New stereo by Retro Sound with USB and rear speakers.
Exterior - 4" roof chop, de-seamed, custom glass throughout, shaved rear door handles with door poppers, quarter glass removed from rear doors and replaced with larger pains, panoramic roof. Rear - petrol cap, badges, number plate and boot catch all removed from the rear which has also been de-seamed and bumpers removed. Rear lights redesigned, rally style Lucas reverse lamp added as well as a hidden numberplate light. Front - bumpers removed, wing mirrors moved and replaced, bonnet replaced and scoop added. Hidden spot lights added behind grill. Original grill, light surrounds and bonnet trim refurbished and powder coated and a bespoke Skull & Pistons enamel badge added to the grill. Painted in Stornaway grey on the exterior with S&PG signature orange engine bay.

Issues:
Paint imperfections in four small areas on the car. The stitching on the front seats has stretched. Exhaust - the current one is OK but it sits too low so could do with a custom system.
Vehicle is currently sorn as I don't drive it.
It's for sale to make room for more builds.
