Triumph Tigress 175 1960
For sale - Triumph Tigress 175, one of only a handful of 175's still registered. It has it's good and bad points but it runs, stops, lights work and selects gears and has a V5c ( age related plate) in my name.
It has:
- new crankcase seals and bearings
- New crank pin / bearing / con-rod / little end bearing from Rex Caunt Racing
- On standard bore - new rings
- Original 70mph speedo
- Original Amal carburettor
- Paneling painted professionally by last owner but stored for many years so scratched but presentable in black and cream
- New tyres
- New seat cover but original base and foam
- Good original machine, original grips and levers
- NOS choke cable
- Lights all work and it charges
Some work that could be done
- Down pipe and manifold not original although silencer is
- Original badges, battery box and some trim needed
- Clutch dragging slightly but starts easily, will continue to fettle
- Head is from the later 62 model
All in all a good usable scoot' - rare and has character but one that could be taken to the next level
