MGC GT Sebring replica built 2 years ago by Doug Smith of MG Motorsport at a cost of £60, 000. It is the real deal, 200bhp MGC 3 litre straight six, triple Weber 45 DCOE carbs, 8 inch genuine Minilite wheels to the proper spec, full Maniflow twin exhaust system with Maniflow Downton style stainless steel manifold, twin Facet fuel pumps and twin coils. Quaife LSD. High torque starter motor. Fuel and brake pipes run inside the car. It has all of MG Motorsport's MGC upgrades - ball joint front suspension, uprated torsion and anti-roll bars, high ratio steering rack and pinion etc, etc and it handles like a dream with none of the inherent understeer of the original cars. It was built as a fast road / track day car that is equally at home for long distance touring for which it is extremely comfortable. It is not a stripped out race car - the interior is lovely with high backed Ridgard seats (cost a fortune), beautiful Moto-Lita steering wheel, full carpeting, half roll cage (does not hinder entry and exit in any way), full instrumentation including a Brantz rally meter and twin Heuer stop watches. The paint underneath is as good as on top and has been protected with a flash coat of Dynax Clear Film which is easily removed. Everything on this car is a lesson in how it should be done - not to be confused with a myriad of MGs sporting the 'Sebring' label. This is a very reluctant sale due to personal circumstances but it is a chance for someone to get one of these very special cars at a significantly reduced cost. It has only done about 5, 000 miles since it was built and is in practically as-built condition. Very interesting registration number.
