Description
On file are a very large number of documents and invoices that relate to the restoration of this car with with expenditure exceeding £50, 000. The schedules of work undertaken would suggest that the base structure of the car was good and the panel gap testament to this. In summary, work in 2015 included a full strip down and deep clean of the car, bare metal repaint, re-trim and new wire wheels with Blockley tyres. Electromechanical works included, suspension and brake rebuild, engine strip down and overhaul and much more work that it is all very well documented, to the extent that all hours spent have been accounted for.
What this has created is a very beautiful E-Type finished in superb metallic silver which compliments the unmarked chrome, a stunning black leather interior with aluminium consul, period radio (that you can plug your phone/ music into) and black mohair hood. In our opinion a combination that suits the E-Type very well and this car looks fabulous from every angle.
The rarity and drivability of all 3. 8 Litre Series 1 E-Types mean they that remain the most desirable for enthusiasts of the marque. This splendid example, will give a lot of joy to its next proud keeper and if the historic climb in values have been a reliable indicator it should also be a sound investment.
