Body shell
This genuine Australian droop nose body shell was 3 day dipped it has absolutely no rot or fillers, welding etc guaranteed, it was then etch primmed with marine grade primmer, the final painting stage was carried out by custo resto’s in Australia keeping its original venetian red with black pinstripes and rs decals.
Engine
The original engine was stripped checked and fully rebuilt to include new cam springs, rockers, gaskets etc etc. It runs a fr 22 kent cam, vernier pulley, new twin Webber 45’s, with new Webber fuel pumps, this has transformed the performance of the engine, a new 4 branch manifold was also fitted which has been hpc ceramic coated for minimum heat, pro alloy fuel tank, alloy rad, big box rs rocker cover
Transmission
The gearbox is a fully rebuilt 5 speed unit, alloy bell housing, the rear axel has been tastefully upgraded to an English axel which was rebuilt and treated to a new 3 jlsd all new bearings gaskets etc, one piece prop shaft
Suspension/ Brakes
The suspension was upgraded with koni adjustable front coil overs, top sherical mounts, period strut brace, poly bushes, quick rack steering, the brakes are front 4 pot high spec calibers, new performance pads, vented discs, 9” rear drums, no lowering blocks properly lowered on the rear leaf spring
Interior
The interior of this car is in perfect condition, the original rs tweed roll top Recaro bucket seat interior, new door cards, head cloth carpets etc, rs 3 spoke steering wheel, centre console with additional oil pressure/ temperature/ oil pressure gauges, perfect for keeping an eye on your engine. Perfect dash board (no cracks) lights, horn, indicators, wipers, door locks etc all in pwo, car will come with 1 years mot.
Wheels
New unmarked ford rs alloys finished in black and polished 13”x7”
This car is not to be confused with other tired half restored examples. Anything that could be rebuilt/ replaced was done. This car is being sold at a fraction of the bill cost and if you went to try and build a car like this you simply couldn’t find a cleaner rs 2000 to start with.
