Mk One Ford Escort 1972, 2 door South African import. This is a 47 year old useable classic I bought in 2014 in the UK after just being imported with all import documents and proof of tax paid. I carried out extensive work to Uk Mot and register with DVLA as a Uk car registered as a 1972 on L reg.
Restoring included a complete a complete rewire, using 7 core cable not an original loom, new headlights. Replace all rigid and flexible brake pipes, shoes and wheel cylinders. Front pads were fine. Ball joints replaced, track rod ends, steering coupling, tyres new in 2015 on Capri alloys. Recarro front seats, new seat belts.
Heater and full silicon hose set need fitted.
The paint has a fleck in the colours which looks good but the car does have a few battle scars Panel gaps are not all equal, some panels have been filled. This is not a show car, Mexico or Group 4 rally car.
Since being MOTD in 2015 car has been dry stored due to starting a home conversion.
Car is now Mot and Tax exempt. I took to a local garage to get it up and running this week and they fitted a new coil, battery and coolant. While it was on the ramp I took these pics

General condition
Chassis legs are solid but dented in quite a few places. Repair to front chassis leg driver side in engine bay. Dent to under body behind pedal box. Floor pans have been repaired but could be replaced as all available. Cill to floor, inner cills all solid. Spare wheel and tank well solid. Gear box noisy in reverse.
New 4 branch manifold with the car, hose set, rev counter needs connected, oil pressure pipe included. Spare gear box to go with the car.
