Being an EVO 7 FQ-300 in "Palma red" this is a rare car, as only 7 were made in this colour.
Most FQ-300's were either silver or white
All previous evos were "grey imports"usually sold in the UK by Japanese specialist importers. Those personal imports had no "type approval", so importers had to do many modifications before they could be registered in the UK for example: under sealing.
Our vendor purchased the car in 2005. Unfortunately 4 years into his ownership in 2009, when the car was 7 years old, the vendor was driving along a country lane in Somerset when a deer ran out in front of him and caused damage to the front of the car. The car didn’t have great value at this time so the insurers decided it was uneconomical to repair so wrote the car off. The vendor didn’t agree with them so purchased the car back from the insurers and had the car repaired to a very high standard. When the repairs were finished it was inspected by the insurers and fully approved. We highly recommend you see this car as you cannot tell it’s been previously damaged and is truly a stunning car.
Overview
With all of the FQ-300 cars, Mitsubishi UK did the extensive work needed to make them in to proper UK saleable car / type approved cars. So on the log book it does not say import.
Also they were the first factory tuned EVO's to have a genuine type approved 300 BHP. plus special FQ interior trim, and free-flow "powerflow brand" big bore stainless steel exhaust system (with 4" tailpipe).
Also there is the brushed alloy serial number plaque near the gear lever gaiter, and external FQ badge on the boot-lid...... proper under sealing ect....
Mechanics
This EVO 7 FQ-300 runs on 18" BBS alloys and is tuned to 380 BHP
Mark Shead (MA Developments in Marlow Bucks) is without doubt the best EVO tuner in the UK.
This EVO 7 is fitted with an after-market Autronic ECU, and live mapped by Mark.
It drives superbly, simply amazing performance and reliability.
After-market "Tien" dampers improve the handling over that of a car with standard dampers. Brakes are great, uprated pads fitted.
Recent Mark Shead service with "everything done" including mapping check (at a cos of just over £900. 00. A copy of receipt can be supplied.
Bodywork and interior
The bodywork and interior of this car is absolutely stunning throughout. The exterior and interior are both kept up to a very high standard. We believe you will struggle to find one in such nice condition.
