Description
The Discovery was introduced in 1989 as a new model series for Land Rover. The first and second generations were based on the Range Rover and set the model's design trademarks of steep angled windscreen, stepped roof and reverse C pillars. These elements however were the only things carried over in the 3rd series which constituted an entirely new mode, l best described as a fine blend of hardware and software. The body was more rigid due to a new method of construction where the bay and cabin monocoque were slided into the chassis as one. Furthermore an air-bag fully independent suspension adjusted its riding height based on speed and conditions while a computer-controlled system offered off road skills to the driver at all terrains.
This particular Discovery was ordered to feature a series of options and delivered to its first and sole owner in September 2006. Since then the car has been maintained with exceptional consistency rendering it in a totally original and fully serviced condition, still in its factory original paint coat.
