BUILT IN SEPTEMBER 1960 IN RHD FORMAT AND REGISTERED AS 853 AGT IN LONDON ON 13TH OCTOBER THAT YEAR, THIS HIGHLY ORIGINAL MGA HAS BENEFITTED FROM AN EARLIER BODY RESTORATION AND THERE IS EVIDENCE OF REGULAR EXPENDITURE ON PARTS AND MAINTENANCE IN RECENT TIMES TO ENSURE THAT SHE IS 'ON THE BUTTON' AND RUNNING/ DRIVING AS BMC INTENDED SOME 60 YEARS AGO!

FINISHED IN HER ORIGINAL LIVERY OF PERIOD IRIS BLUE WITH BLACK LEATHER SEATS, SHE LOOKS PURPOSEFUL ON PAINTED WIRE WHEELS WHICH WERE FACTORY FITTED EXTRAS ALONG WITH THE HEATER AND THE RADIO! A SMART MOHAIR TONNEAU COVER FLATTERS HER SLEAK LINES AND THERE IS A HOOD AND HOOD FRAME CAREFULLY TUCKED AWAY BEHIND THE SEATS, TOGETHER WITH A PAIR OF SIDESCREENS AND A SPARE WHEEL IN THE BOOT.

ON A RECENT TEST DRIVE SHE DEMONSTRATED A GOOD TURN OF SPEED, PULLING STRONGLY THROUGH THE GEARS AND HOLDING A GOOD OIL PRESSURE. FRONT DISC BRAKES ARE STANDARD ON THIS MODEL AND SERVO ASSISTANCE HAS BEEN ADDED. THE CYLINDER HEAD HAS BEEN CONVERTED TO TAKE UNLEADED FUEL, THE RADIATOR HAS BEEN UPRATED AND SHE IS RUNNING EVANS WATERLESS COOLANT. RECENT EXPENDITURE INCLUDES A FULL SERVICE TOGETHER WITH FITMENT OF SEAT BELTS AND 2 NEW 6 VOLT BATTERIES, 2 TOP TRUNNIONS AND 2 FRONT SHOCK ABSORBERS. A FRESH MOT WAS ISSUED AT THE SAME TIME (17/ 12/ 20)

THE CURRENT OWNER, A VALUED CLIENT OF OURS, HAD INTENDED TO KEEP THE 'A' FOR MANY YEARS AND HAS MAINTAINED HER ACCORDINGLY. THE OPPORTUNITY TO PURCHASE AN EARLIER MG WHICH HE HAD BEEN PURSUING FOR SOME YEARS HAS UNEXPECTEDLY PRESENTED ITSELF AND THAT ALONE, DUE TO A SHORTAGE OF GARAGE SPACE, HAS PROMPTED THE SALE.
