Here we have a beautiful Riley Nine Boat tail Roadster for sale. Body built by Downing Bros of Australia in 1929. Chassis first registered 1931. While the owner has been unable to find documented proof the car belonged to the ‘’Overland Tour’’ it doesn’t mean the car wasn’t part of this historic journey. It has been handed down the years the car was indeed part of the tour but this is only verbal.
The car has been restored to a very good standard with the engine being fully overhauled and new head gasket plus reconditioned head with all new valves and rods. An electric fan fitted to give more confidence on longer hot journeys. An electric fuel pump has replaced the autovac. Sympathetic indicators have also been fitted to make driving on modern roads that much safer. The hood is perfect and comes complete with side panels, hood bag and a tonneau. The interior is in perfect condition. 5 new historic tyres including inner tubes fitted within last 12 months.
