Description
Mk2 Body Shell in primer complete with Doors, Boot Lid and Bonnet. It was purchased around 8 years ago with the intention of using it to rebody my Mk2, a project now abandoned.
Extensive work has been carried out, by the previous owners, a reputable Jaguar restoration company in the midlands. It looks to have had new inner and outer sills, rear spring hangers, jacking points and repairs to the front wings including crows feet and cross member. The doors have also been rebottomed to a reasonable standard but could do with some tidying when it comes to gaps etc. Similarly the boot lid has had a repair to the lower edge but seams to fit quite well.
I believe the original car was a Daimler and as such has had an automatic gearbox fitted, therefore the transmission tunnel would need alteration to suit a manual or manual/ overdrive box, but this is not a difficult conversion.
In summary this is a sound body shell on which to base a restoration.
