Description
FOR SALE: 1995 VW Corrado VR6 Storm with R32 3. 2 litre engine and Recaros.
HEADLINES
This amazing VR6 Storm is known in the Corrado community for its epic build thread by "Kip".
It underwent a professional engine swap in about 2005 and was fitted with an Audi R32 3. 2 litre V6 engine from an Audi TT. The work was meticulous and the engine bay looks like a factory fit. The car was recently measured at 262 bhp on a dyno and the original 5-speed gearbox easily handles the power. It really is a fast car.
Just over 140, 000 miles but most of those were done before the engine swap. The current engine has done around 50, 000 but I don’t have documentation for that. And the interior looks more like a 10, 000 mile car. Brand new battery in May-21.
Sunroof and spoiler work as they should. Heater works on all four settings. MOT till 12 May 2022 (no advisories). This car is ready to go straight on the road to enjoy. It’s really quick and super comfortable.
INTERIOR
Blue Storm cars came with heated black leather as standard. This car has upgraded Recaro seats in fantastic condition and the seat heating works perfectly. Back seats hardly sat in.
The original beige headlining has been replaced with a beautiful black Alcantara headlining, as it should have been from the factory. It looks a lot better than the beige.
The steering wheel was fully refurbished in late 2020 and is spotless, with a combination of smooth leather and perforated leather. It’s like brand new.
A subtle Bluetooth receiver means you can take phone calls in the car and play music via your phone. In addition is a very subtle USB charging port.
Everything inside is in great condition and it’s a luxurious place to be. The only minor flaw is that the handbrake boot is missing.
EXTERIOR
The 16-inch BBS wheels are decent without any major scratches and the tyres are almost new.
The paint is very nice and looks almost purple in the sun, and deep blue the rest of the time. There are some chips here and there as you’d expect but I can’t see any rust or bubbling so you’d only touch up the chips if you want it to look perfect. No body damage anywhere.
The rear lights are the crystal ones which I think look awesome, but the original lights also come with the car. The front grille is the correct blue painted one for a Storm, but a black grille comes with the car so you have the choice.
