1964 blue Jaguar 3. 8S in very good overall condition. 85% restored with just a small amount of work to do (including the burr walnut dashboard and other wood finishers). Engine rebuilt with new pistons, crank ground and new bearings, whilst the exhaust, battery, fuel system, carburettors, steering, suspension, drive train, cooling system, radiator, ignition system, brakes, wiring, bodywork, chrome work, tyres, upholstery, etc. have all been fully refurbished or replaced with new - in fact around Rands 220, 000 (£11, 000) has been spent on the car over the past year or so (comes with a large file of documentary evidence). The 3. 8S, being the higher spec version of the Mark 2, comes as standard with power steering (as opposed to manual on the Mark 2), independent rear suspension (as opposed to the beam rear axle) and of course has disc brakes all round and overdrive. This car is attractively priced at just R129, 500 or £6, 500, as we simply have too many major ongoing restoration projects to accommodate this one!
