dispatched 5th april 1954
purchased by its former owner in 1977 in thailand where was working as a tunnel engineer
he commissioned a full restoration programme in 1978 in bangkok thailand with refinishing in ivory, rechroming, retrimming which has stood the test of time well.
a replacement engine from octagon sports cars was fitted in 1979 which subsequently had a new billet steel crank fitted
the car and owner then moved to hong kong where a tunnel project was worked on for a number of years, during which the car and owner took part in the macau grand prix
the owner and car returned to the uk in 1987 and was registered as hsu 458
during his ownership the car has had maintenance to a high standard with fully documented history including new wiring harness, brake system, exhaust, suspension, etc, etc.
the only reason sale is the owners increased infirmity
the car drives and stands well. The comprehensive history file includes pictures of the car being inspected by the king of thailand, racing in macau and used in advertising throughout asia.
