LAND ROVER DEFENDER ROW (Rest Of World) SPEC-2003-300Tdi
This is one a very few produced export only LR's having the well regarded simple to fix/ reliable 300Tdi engine factory fitted into a later Td5 Body, this means it has the advantage of lower running costs; no cat, less stringent on emission tests, no rear seats belts required on the Bench Seats (Currently un-fitted, fixings all there).
It comes with electric windows, Genuine factory fitted Steering Guard, factory fitted Wing Top Chequer Plate, factory fitted Sun Roof & even still has the original Bonnet Insulation.
Intact Genuine Land Rover Tool Kit & Jack in unused condition behind the seat.
I have added a Brand New Genuine Rear Load Mat, Genuine Front Mats & Genuine Seat Box Cover, Nice CD/ Radio with BlueTooth connection, Flexi-Aerial, Patriot Safari Roof-Rack with Rear Roller & matching Ladder; All brand new last summer!
Serviced at the same time when a brand new Genuine Cylinder Head was fitted as blew a gasket. Has covered approximately 3000m since service.
MOT 1yr from this week.
Aftermarket Immobiliser fitted.
Mechanically sound throughout, the chassis is incredibly solid & last summer I personally, very thoroughly cleaned it, treated any surface rust with rust killer & then undersealed it.
Body work is very straight, in its original paint, very few dents, some scratches/ blemishes, no cover ups & certainly very good for a working LR..
Interior other than the rear mat is completely original & is in good tidy, clean order, seats showing some wear plus there are some scuffs on the door cards though nothing that needs replacing. Headlining's are nice & clean with no tears or bad sagging. Door/ screen rubbers working without the usual leaks.
Good battery & any replacement parts I have used have always been Genuine or OEM.
Its running on Good Year Wrangler MT/ R's that are puncture resistant & have approximately 50-60% wear left, original factory alloys with locking wheel nuts.
Everything works & is up together with the exception of the rear heated screen, they always break! It is obvious this LR only has carried out light duties.
If you are looking for a low mileage, original condition, 'proper' Land Rover's then this is one of the best, certainly one of the best I have ever owned (20 plus over 36yrs), I purchased it to get by whilst my daily 110 had a full rebuild & have totally fallen in love with it, sadly can not keep so needs a new home.
