A rare opportunity to acquire an Austin 7 Nippy Sports. The car was registered in April 1937. Purchased by my father 19 years ago it has had 3 former owners. A pretty yet swift little car finished in Primrose yellow over black.
Since ownership the Nippy has been used on a few occasions but has mainly been in storage for most of its time in our ownership. The Nippy was serviced 2 years ago by GM Seven Services (Munwellyns).
The Nippy has been kept in a warm insulated garage, so I cannot see a reason it shouldn’t fire up. The car is best described as an older restoration and will require quite a lot of work to be in show condition. With the engine running it could be a car that is used, enjoyed and restored as and when. The clutch is quite fierce so may require some adjustment. It has black leather door cards and seats (door cards removed and one seat base currently missing - will be found before sold) It has a hood frame, hood side screens and tonneau cover, all in need of restoration. It does have an interesting original steering wheel that could be quite a showpiece when restored.
I could describe the car in more detail but I think this Nippy is best seen in person.
These little cars are very rare but also have stunning lines. In tiptop condition this would be priced well over £25K.
