Ford Escort RS Cosworth
For Sale on behalf of a friend, a private owned 1994 LHD Ford Escort RS Cosworth in red. The 90s legend with some rally pedigree is in very good nick and starts on the button. The Cossie is in rust free condition and has run just under 185000km (115 thousand miles). It further benefited from an engine and drivetrain refresh in April 2020 were it also received some upgrades (some listed below but by far not all). The car runs on stock engine management / power (220bhp/ 290Nm) and was not abused on the track nor driven as daily commuter. It was mainly used for nice summer drives and has been stored in a garage. It was last MOTed on 13. 09. 2019 without any remarks (here the MOT/ TÜV lasts for 3 Years and if you are lucky even up to 5 Years before you get invited to retest).

- Famous wing „Whale tail“ also available (painted same colour), not installed (since not allowed in our country)
- All work carried out by a motor sport mechanic in a proper workshop with according tools
- Fair weather car, no track or winter usage
- Latest MOT passed with flying colours
- Recently new tires, brake disc and pads (front) as well as a new battery
negative:
- ODO 115‘000 miles, couple of samples with less mileage available
- Original radio replaced through a more modern one
- Some prefer the blue paint
Engine and drivetrain revision included following:
- April 2020 Engine refresh. All sealings, filter, fluids and spark plugs replaced, cylinder head resurfaced, new hydro tappets, WRC multilayer head gasket, cylinder bores honed, crankshaft polished and fine balanced, block repainted, reinforced Mahle motor sport crankshaft and rod bearings. ARP bolts, new timing belt kit (heavy duty), turbocharger revised (stock power, boost and ECU not fiddled with). new twin spark ignition coil, new idle controller, new thermostat, some new Samco water hoses, new water pump, upgrade water cooler and fan. and a lot more small bits & pieces
- new clutch kit, new propshaft, short shifter with all new joints and knob, PU bushings, reinforced engine mounts
- Parts of the exhaust swopped for stainless steel
