1960 Jaguar 3. 4 MK2 Automatic finished in Maroon / Dark Red with Red interior trim, wire wheels. The previous owner had owned the car for around 30 years and I purchased the car from the family of the now deceased owner. Due to the owner's illness, the car was kept in storage and not used on the road for quite a few years. Since I purchased the car, I have completed a considerable amount of recommissioning work on the car as follows, flushed the fuel tank, completely stripped, cleaned and rebuilt the carburettors with New jets, diaphragms, springs gaskets etc, New battery, New plugs, points, condenser, rotor arm, distributor cap and ignition coil. New water hoses and jubilee clips, New exhaust mountings, I have spent around a thousand pounds on parts alone. All New parts were supplied by leading Jaguar specialists SNG Barratt Jaguar. The car is road tax and MOT exempt, but has an MOT until 2023 with some advisories. Even though a lot of work has been completed, due to the age of the car it will still require that all systems be thoroughly checked throughout and any repairs that may be found necessary be undertaken before road use. The bodywork / paintwork car is presentable, but does require paintwork, as it does have some micro blistering and bubbling, but still looks pretty good for a 62 year old car.
