This reliable and comfortable car has had 1 owner from year 1 (originally owned by Ford Motor Company), is in superb condition inside and out and benefits from the luxury Ghia trim level and functionality. It has been annually serviced from new with full service history available. The average annual mileage is 6, 200. Two new tyres and new wiper blades have just been fitted and its MOT runs until March 2023. The trip computer shows MPG of 37. 6 owing to the extremely efficient 2. 0L Duratec HE petrol engine which features a timing chain (no worries about timing belt failure as it doesn't have one!). The torque and flexibility of this engine is exemplary and its low noise level makes for a relaxing driving experience
All the electrics are in full working order except for the heated windscreen (although the heated wing mirrors do work) but the demist button clears the screen in seconds anyway. The superb 6006E sound system incorporates a 6 CD changer and AM/ FM radio. Fitted with Bluetooth hands-free phone/ audio connectivity via radio with 2 USB charging ports. The cavernous cargo area is fitted with a trailing lighting board socket for a rear cycle carrier.
The rear subframe bushes have been replaced with polyurethane upgrades and the front brake discs have been replaced as have the handbrake cable, a rear brake caliper and both rear wheel bearings. The inlet manifold is the 2003 upgrade so no worries about loose swirl flaps. A new radio aerial and new tailgate gas struts have been fitted. The bodywork of this car is completely rust free and boasts the original metallic "juice green" paintwork in pristine condition.
I have loved driving this car for 18 years and I am very reluctant to part with it but, sadly, the recent acquisition of an EV forces me to sell.
