My riley 1. 5 is in a great condition compared with most other models.
It has mostly been restored in South Africa where it was assembled. The Northern South African climate is such that there is almost no rust anywhere on the car, unlike the UK models which are badly affected. I have only found a bit of bubbling on the rear door edges.
The interior is all new as are the tyres and silencer.
I have replaced the brake shoes and cylinders, handbrake lever, dynamo, battery, ignition bits, petrol pump and filter/ regulator and fitted new parts to the SU H4 carbs.
The engine runs pretty well but may need a bit of fine tuning but the car drives nicely with no steering, suspension, gearbox or brake issues. It shows a very good oil pressure.
There are some minor electrical bits not working - including: reversing light and panel lights. There will always be other minor items as with any car over 60years old.
This must be the cheapest one-point-five available but sensible offers invited
