Description
Originally registered in Middlesex in the autumn of 1938, 'Jimmy', as he is affectionately known, is a truly outstanding example of Wolseley Motors' pre-war flagship, the Super Six 16. One of only 3 known survivors, the car was a regular attender at rallies north of the border, prior to being acquired by the present owner in 2009. It was then subjected to a quality restoration/ upgrade, at a cost of circa £60k. (full receipts available). The engine has been stripped and rebuilt with all ancillaries renewed; a bare metal respray was carried out; bumpers re-chromed-the list is endless. The interior of the car is largely original and a delightful place to be. The original brochure, which will be included in the sale, states 'best leather upholstery' and this remains true to this day, with rear seat passengers enjoying the benefit of foot rests and picnic tables. On the road, the car performs without fault and everything works just it should. The 2 litre straight six runs quietly and smoot
