Up for for sale is this 2008 CVPI 4. 6L V8 Mustang GT engine 250HP. Originally from a university Police Department from Alabama. The vehicle has 95K miles and still being driven every week. 1, 900 idle hours (anything under 5k hrs is generally good). Being a 2008 this car can also take E85 Flex Fuel that is generally found in North America and mainland Europe which generally costs €0. 80 per Liter and approximately £40 to fill up.
The car was from the University of Alabama, Birmingham (UAB Police). Being a university police car it was most likely used for picking up drunken teens than being abused in pursuits. I have the original roster sheet for the officers which shows when the car was being used on what day. And it’s original build sheet showing $1, 000 worth optional extras.
The car has been liveried up with the ST Lucie County Sheriffs Department, Florida which is a quite a good looking graphic with matching Light bar & Push-bar to that sheriff’s department.

Like lots of ex-government cars, the service history is unknown however, from receiving touch up paint all the way to a new transmission, you can definitely seen that this car has been maintained to a very high standard in the US. Maintenance history documented in the U. K. AC blows Ice cold and heater is very nice and warm. Fog light works. Car will come with new MOT.
Overall, this car is currently being dry stored over the winter, imported in 2019 this car hasn’t really seen the British weather and being from a relatively dry state of Alabama, under 100k miles and premium Whelen emergency equipment & professionally fitted graphics. The car is in very good condition, body and undercarriage and out of my three Crown Vic’s I have owned this is definitely the best condition one.
Cons:
Being realistic there are a few points to note;
- The car is in very good condition however this car is 15 years old and an ex-police car so there a a few scratches throughout the car. The car has had stone chips, scratches on the front and trunk where peoples jewellery have rubbed against the paintwork when being searched against the car, fortunately this has been looked after and touched paint has previously been applied where possible.
- The Public Address microphone currently does not work, I found out the microphone part itself is broken but a replacement part is available for $15 on eBay. I never found it to be an issue and I’ve never really needed to used the PA so I’ve never bothered with it.
CB Radio & the magnetic antenna on the roof are not included.
