This gorgeous Jaguar E-type was sold new in New York, USA. In the USA the E-type is also known under the name XK-E and the open two-seater (OTS) is known as ‘roadster’.
This wonderful Jaguar E-type was extensively restored in the past, the work was done according to the original factory specifications.
An extensive history / restoration file is present with a restoration photo report and invoices confirming the quality of the restoration.
The car was imported to the Netherlands in the year 2014 and it was purchased by the current owner in 2019. This Jaguar E-type drives and handles perfectly, and the car is in a very good to excellent condition!
This E-type is a ‘matching numbers’ car, a Heritage certificate is present confirming that important components like the engine and the gearbox are factory original to this car.
In 2021 the car was given a higher rear (European specification) axle ratio which lowered the engine revolutions at all driving speeds with about 10%.
The powerful 4. 2 litre six-cylinder engine drives the rear wheels via a 4-speed manually operated gearbox. This wonderful Jaguar E-type is a beautifully restored head-turner and a fantastic driver car, a great find for the Jaguar enthusiast!
